Clean Streets?

So if you didn't know last week there was some big news coming out of Boston:
1)The Patriots won the Super bowl
2)It snowed.....a lot!
C) Boston Mayor Marty Walsh within an hour of the Patriots winning began removing what would amount to TONS of snow off of Boston streets to make way for the parade being thrown to celebrate the win, while other streets remained so choked with snow that kids couldn't go to school and people could not go to work.

Mind you, I am not political, nor do I follow sports.  I don't care who wins what, on the game field or at the ballot box.  This being the case, I don't bitch about political decisions because I choose not to influence them. The only reason I heard about this was people at work were complaining about it and I thought it was interesting.

The morning of the parade I turned on the television and the parade was all I saw...Gronk (however pleasant it is watching Gronk do anything) ripping the tops of beer cans with his teeth, twirking, and being a young person that just brought down a major win.  You know who else was watching.....the kids who couldn't get to school and their parents that had to miss a days work to stay home and watch them.

I know I sound like I'm offended by the favoring of the Pats, I don't want to be, but I think I am.  The MBTA was a mess, the roads and sidewalks were unsafe, all but the Pats parade route....sounds like a bad decision looking at it nearly a week later.

Now everything is plowed and cleared...with another storm coming....is there any sports parade happening next week, cuz maybe ill call out sick.

In the end, it just goes to show that we all still live in a straight mans world.

At least that's what I think.
